Senior Video - an interview with Courtney Fraser.

For this assignment, we had to do a video project related to the senior class here at Roger Williams University. We decided to talk to Courtney Fraser, who is joining the Peace Corps. upon graduation. She is currently Captain of the Equestrian Team, and has a great passion for riding horses. She has been riding 12 years, and is sacrificing her love of riding to help children in the Caribbean.

She will be undergoing intensive training for three months once she arrives at her station, and will not be able to see her family for six months. Her service will last about two and a half years before she will return to the United States. As mentioned, she will greatly miss riding, and she is hoping she will be able to find a place to ride on the islands.

In creating this video, we wanted to show not only the importance of the next chapter of her life, but also her love and passion for horseback riding. We decided to film her riding a horse named Rocky, who she is currently leasing at Windswept Farm, where the RWU equestrian team holds practices once a week. She also owns her own horse, which is kept at another facility. We filmed her riding on the flat, as well as over jumps.

She discusses how her her studies in Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology apply to what she will be doing in the Caribbean, and how she will be mostly working with kids. We also took footage from the Career Fair on campus as the Peace Corps. was one of the organizations that was supplying students with information.

I am very pleased with how this video came out, and I think it really showed Courtney's passion for horses and her desire to help people. She is a senior that stands out from the rest both as a student athlete, and as a soon-to-be graduate. Everything about the video is great, from the standup, to the shots of her riding, and to the content we decided to use. I am very pleased with this project and am glad that we got to go somewhere off campus to do something different.

Peace.
